Announcing the event, the organisers - Croatia Osiguranje, the Zagreb Tourism Board and the City of Zagreb - said that the exhibition would depict the unbreakable bond between the city and its residents, history and culture, politics and economy, as well as technologies of the past and the present.
"The exhibition, to be staged in the Gric tunnel, is a time machine that will take us through 13 centuries, from the past and the 1880s to the present day and 2017, from the time of August Senoa, Ivan Voncina and Gjuro Dezelic, to Nikola Tesla and to World War II and the post-war period. It depicts the history of the oldest Croatian company Croatia Osiguranje, established in 1874, and its influence on people's everyday lives, as well as on political and economic trends," said the author of the exhibition's concept, Bozo Skoko.
