The survey covered 345 jobs in 36 activities.
In the third quarter of this year, the average monthly wage was HRK 5,397 net, up 2% from the previous quarter as well as on the year. When bonuses are added, the average monthly wage was HRK 5,584, up 2% from Q2.
According to the national statistical office, the average net wage in July was HRK 5,716.
Salaries in top management are 115% higher then the average, those in technology and development are 55% higher, those in human potential 37%, those in telecommunications 35%, those in quality management 31%, and those in IT are 29% higher than the average.
The lowest salaries are in auxiliary activities (43% below average), in services and in the textile and leather industry (36% lower).
The survey shows that over the past three months men's salaries were 9% higher than women's on average, with men making HRK 5,618 on average and women HRK 5,144.
Persons with a university degree have 51% higher salaries than those who only finish high school and 21% higher than the average. A master's degree or a PhD increases a salary by 105% on average.
Persons with only secondary education have a 20% lower salary on average, while those with post-graduate or MBA education have 64% higher salaries.
Salaries in private companies owned by foreigners are 13% higher than the average, amounting to a monthly HRK 6,098, while salaries in domestic companies are 7% lower than the average (HRK 5,042). Salaries in state enterprises are 7% higher than the average, amounting to HRK 5,771, and they are higher in larger enterprises.
