Also, a rise in the production of barley and oat can be expected, while rapeseed production is down, the first DZS estimates show.
According to the DZS, wheat was sown on 138,000 hectares, and the expected yield is 5.9 tonnes per hectare, which means 814,000 tonnes, or up 25% compared to 2014.
Barley production is estimated at 211,000 tonnes, up 20% provided that the average yield is 4.8 tonnes per hectare. The total production of oat is expected to rise by 29% to 73,000 tonnes, provided that the estimated oat yield of 3.3 tonnes per hectare proves to be correct.
Rapeseed covers 22,000 hectares and its expected yield is put at 3 tonnes per hectare, which means that this year's rapeseed production is to go down 7% to 66,000 tonnes.
