The association recalls that a state of natural disaster has been declared for Slavonian counties, east Croatia, given that cultivated fruits and vegetables are badly affected by inclement weather.
It warns that high temperatures have also affected poultry and cattle. In addition, devastated crops will mean smaller quantities of fodder for livestock and higher prices of fodder, too.
Therefore, the association urges the inclusion of cattle-breeders into schemes for compensation of damage caused by natural disasters.
