The ministry explained that revenue from private travel grew by 35.1 million euro or 12.9% to 305.2 million euro. The highest growth on the year was recorded in business travel, which recorded a rise of 21.9% from 28.3 million euro to 34.5 million euro.
The share of tourism revenue in Gross Domestic Product in Q1 went up by 3.5% year on year.
Tourism Minister Darko Lorencin said he was pleased with these figures because they showed that the tourism sector in the country was getting stronger and Croatia was becoming a more competitive destination globally.
