BELGRADE, June 3
(Hina) - Serbia's chief prosecutor for war crimes,
Vladimir Vukcevic, on Wednesday strongly criticised the transfer of
the convicted Croatian veteran Veljko Maric from a Serbian prison to
Croatia where he is to serve the remainder of his 12-year prison
sentence for war crimes, and announced an appeal against the ruling of
the Belgrade-based appellate court that okayed Maric's extradition,
describing the developments as government pressure on judicial
institutions.
