In 2003, Clinton visited Srebrenica where he opened a memorial centre in tribute to over 8,000 people killed when the Serb forces raided that eastern Bosnian enclave, which had the status of a UN safe haven during the 1992-1995 war in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Munira Subasic, one of the leaders of the association "Mothers of Srebrenica and Zepa", told Hina on Wednesday that the association had invited US President Barack Obama, but that the White House had not confirmed his possible arrival yet.
This year, the remains of 48 victims identified in the meantime will be buried at the memorial centre during the central ceremony on 11 July.
In the run-up to the July commemorations, the victims' mothers and wives will speak about that tragedy at a conference in Sarajevo in May and before the British Parliament on 6 July.
