During his address, the Pope underscored that he had carefully read reports by the bishops from that country and that he prayed for all the residents of their country and all those who were compelled to emigrate due to not so distant war events, unemployment and an uncertain future.
I encourage you not to spare your strength in supporting the weak, to help in the best appropriate way all those who have a justified and sincere wish to remain in their home country and to quench the spiritual hunger of all those who believe in eternal values, the Holy Father said during the Bosnian bishops' Ad Limina pastoral visit to The Vatican, KTA has reported.
The Pope added that he had a personal message for the bishops from Bosnia and Herzegovina and that he was aware of the differences of Bosnia and those of Herzegovina in many aspects, however, they were one body, bishops in one border area, he said, adding that he was joyous of his forthcoming visit to Sarajevo on 6 June.
