SARAJEVO, March 18
(Hina) - The chief prosecutor of the
International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY),
Serge Brammertz, who paid a day-long working visit to Bosnia and
Herzegovina on Wednesday, welcomed the arrests of eight former Bosnian
Serb police officers suspected of involvement in the genocide in the
eastern town of Srebrenica, describing it as an indicator of increased
efforts of the local judiciaries to prosecute war crimes.
