His project, curated by Marc Bembekoff, will be staged in the Croatian Pavilion in Zorzi Palace.
Deputy Culture Minister Berislav Sipus has said recently that this year, Croatia decided to select its representative at the Biennale after inviting artists to apply for the representation. There were 15 applicants and Ocko was selected as the best candidate.
Ocko, born in Zagreb, was educated at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb from 1997-2003. He also attended residency programmes in Tirana, Vienna, Helsinki, Stuttgart, Leipzig and his works have so far been exhibited in Dublin, Graz, Paris, Salerno, Duesseldorf and some other cities.
