The children's Carnival march is set for 7 February, while the grand masquerade parade will be on 15 February.
Some other events such as the selection of the Carnival Queen, concerts and parties both in Rijeka and other nearby towns will be organised during this pre-Lenten season.
The organisers invite everyone to come to Rijeka, which "is ready to jump into its craziest period, when the Christmas lights in the city centre are replaced with colourful carnival ribbons and when everybody gets to be whomever they want to be, even if only for a short time."
