ZAGREB, May 22
(Hina) - Although parliamentary deputies of the
opposition Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) party on Thursday declined
to comment on a non-final acquittal of Josip Boljkovac of war crimes
committed by the Tito-led Partizan security services in Karlovac the
aftermath of World War II, HDZ parliamentarian Gordan Jandrokovic
pointed out a segment of the verdict's explanation in which the judge
said that it was beyond doubt that war crimes had been committed
against civilians and that the executions had been ordered by the then
political structures.
