BRUSSELS, May 19
(Hina) - Croatia counts on considerable funds from
the European Union in order to finalise the removal of landmines left
over from the 1991-1995 Homeland Defence War by 2019, although the
biggest part of the expenses involved in this endeavour will be
covered by the Croatian state budget, the assistant director of the
Croatian Mine Action Centre, Miljenko Vahtaric, said on Monday in
Brussels where he was attending an international conference on
cross-border cooperation.
