The festival is designed to promote Zagreb's most attractive works of architecture as well as bring architecture closer to visitors through meetings with architects, civil engineers, investors and property owners. This year marks the 100th death anniversary and the 150th birth anniversary of one of the greatest Croatian architects, Viktor Kovačić, it was said at a news conference at which the event was announced.
This year's edition of the festival will feature about 40 structures grouped under four themes: "Revitalisation of architectural heritage", "Viktor Kovačić", "Urban areas" and "Meetings with architects".
Last year, 1,400 visitors from Croatia and abroad attended the festival, which lasted three days.
This year, with the help of 42 expert guides and 30 volunteers, visitors will acquaint themselves with 35 attractive Zagreb architectural landmarks.
Visitors will be able to apply for tours about ten days before the start of the festival.
After today's presentation of the festival's programme, Saša Jovetić of the Infobip IT company presented the Open House chatbot on WhatsApp, which provides answers to questions about the organisation of the festival and its programmes as well as information on Zagreb architecture.
