The Polish Royal Opera is one of the youngest opera stages in Poland and one of the two national opera houses in the country. It was established on 1 August 2017.

The libretto for the opera Rinaldo was prepared by Giacomo Rossi based on a scenario by Aaron Hill and an episode from the epic poem "Jerusalem Delivered" by Italian poet Torquato Tasso.

The opera is directed by Jarosław Kilian, the scenography and costumes are designed by Dorota Kołodyńska, the choreography is by Rui Ishihara, while the musical performance is led by Michał Piotrowski on the violin.

The singers include Jan Jakub Monowid (countertenor) – Gofreddo, Olga Pasiecznik (soprano) – Almirena, Anna Radziejewska (mezzo-soprano) – Rinaldo, Jakub Foltak (countertenor) – Eustazio, Paweł Michalczuk (bass-baritone) – Argante, Marta Boberska (soprano) – Armida.

The soloists will be accompanied by the Period Instruments Ensemble of the Polish Royal Opera Capella Regia Polona.

The performance of the opera Rinlado at the Croatian National Theatre is co-financed by the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage as part of the Inspiring Culture programme and by the Polish Embassy in Zagreb.

In June of this year, the Polish Royal Opera held a concert in Zagreb as part of the Opera Gala Week organised by the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb.
