Visitors will be able to see some of the most beautiful examples of lace from 15 European countries. The partner-country of this year's festival is Turkey.
The International Lace Festival is the oldest and biggest event in Lepoglava, and the local art of lacemaking was inscribed on UNESCO's list of non-tangible world heritage in 2009.
The festival will also show lace from other lacemaking places in Croatia as well as from Slovenia, Slovakia, Poland, Belgium, Italy, Malta, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Spain, Bulgaria, UK, France, Austria and Turkey.
On 14 September, visitors will be able to taste Croatian and Turkish culinary specialties, and Turkish pianist Tutu Aydinoğlu will give a concert at the local parish church.
