At that European competition, the Museum proudly represented Croatia as the winner of the Franchise of the Year competition, i.e. the Franchise Brand Leader Award on domestic soil, which was founded by the Croatian Franchise Association and Poslovni FM, the press release points out.
The award was received by Teo Širola, director of Metamorfoza, the Croatian company that owns the franchise and manages the global network of the Museum of Illusions.
According to him, it is a great success and recognition for the Croatian concept that is recognised globally, but also for the Croatian franchise sector, which has been growing and conquering the market in recent years.
"We are glad to see that people have really recognised the value of this project around the world with the premise of learning through fun," he said, announcing that they are getting closer to the goal of 100 museums they have set themselves to open by the end of 2026.
The Museum of Illusions was also one of the nominees in the Best European Franchise category, which is the first time that one franchise has been nominated in two categories at this renowned competition.
With more than 40 locations in 25 countries and 10 million visitors, it is the largest chain of private museums in the world. New openings are in the works in Denver, San Diego, Seattle and Copenhagen.
