Croatia reports only one more COVID-19 case

ZAGREB, May 15 (Hina) - Over the past 24 hours, only one new case of COVID-19 has been recorded in Croatia, bringing the total to 2,222, and one more patient has died, the national civil protection authority said on Friday.

"A total of 51,568 tests have been done, of which 1,228 in the last 24 hours. The percentage of positive ones has been 4.31%," Health Minister Vili Beros said at the daily press briefing.

The latest fatality is a woman born in 1923 who died at the Split University Hospital. She was a resident of a care home in Makarska. The COVID-19 death toll is 95.

Eight patients are on ventilators and 142 are hospitalised, four fewer than on Thursday; 716 have been discharged from  hospital, five more than on Thursday; and 1,153 patients have recovered at home, 14 more than on Thursday.

A total of 1,869 COVID-19 patients have recovered to date.
