The number of persons positive for COVID-19 totals 2,176, Health Minister Vili Beros said at the daily press briefing.
The latest fatality was a man born in 1950 who had underlying conditions and was on a ventilator. He died in the Osijek University Hospital.
"A total of 44,218 tests have been done, including 840 in the past 24 hours, and 4.92% have been positive," Beros said.
The death toll has reached 87. Thirteen patients are on a ventilator, 181 are hospitalised, three less than on Friday, 668 have been discharged from hospital, 17 more than on Friday, 1,058 have recovered at home, and 1,726 have recovered in total.
Beros said 16,749 people were self-isolating, including 15 positive for the novel coronavirus.
Interior Minister Davor Bozinovic said a 14-day ban on leaving one's place of residence was being imposed on the island of Brac.
It has also been decided to allow Croatian citizens to return to Croatia and go abroad. As for foreigners, they can enter Croatia on business or for urgent private reasons.
Bozinovic announced that Monday would mark the third stage of relaxation of restrictions imposed because of COVID-19.
