Vucic was quoted by the Serbian media as saying that he expected Croatia and its new president to accept Belgrade's extended hand.
The media reports also highlighted the section of Grabar-Kitarovic's inaugural speech in which she said that Zagreb's "permanent strategic interest remains integrating the entire area of South-Eastern Europe into the European Union and NATO."
She was quoted as saying that in relations with Serbia she would put special emphasis on the issue of missing persons and the mutual protection of ethnic minorities' rights.
