ZADAR, Nov 17
(Hina) - Bozidar Kalmeta, the current mayor of Zadar
and a former minister of tourism and transport in HDZ-led governments,
on Monday said that he would prove his innocence after the Croatian
Serious Fraud Office (USKOK) stated on its web site that Kalmeta was
under investigation on suspicion of siphoning at least HRK 30 million
from the HAC motorway operator together with two of his ministry
associates.
