Unions urge examining constitutionality of gov't plan to cancel salary bonuses

ZAGREB, March 6 (Hina) - Representatives of civil and public service workers said on Thursday that they would ask the Constitutional Court to examine the constitutionality of a government plan to deny public sector workers the right to have their salaries increased based on years of service by 4%, 8% or 10%, calling also on President Ivo Josipovic to request that the proposed measure be examined to see if it was in compliance with the constitution.
