BELGRADE, Jan 3
(Hina) - Serbian Orthodox Church (SPC) Patriarch
Irinej on Friday issued his traditional statement on the occasion of
Christmas which Serb Orthodox believers observe on 7 January according
to the Julian calendar, saying in his address that efforts to remove
the Cyrillic script are a screen for attempts "to continue persecuting
Serbs in Croatia".
