Seven Bosnian Serbs indicted for war crimes against Croats, Bosniaks

SARAJEVO, Dec 31 (Hina) - The Bosnian State Prosecutor's Office on Tuesday indicted seven former members of the Bosnian Serb army and police for war crimes against Croats and Bosniaks committed in Kotor-Varos municipality in northwestern Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The indictment was filed on the basis of an investigation carried by the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia, which referred the case to the Bosnian judiciary.

The indictees are Savo Tepic, Dragoslav Bojic, Dusko Vujicic, Dusko Maksimovic, Radojko Keverovic, Rade Skoric and Ilija Krusic.

The 31-count indictment contends that in the period from May to the end of 1992, the accused took part, as members of the Bosnian Serb army and police, in a systematic attack against Croat and Bosniak civilians.

They are charged with murder, imprisonment, torture, and forcible disappearances. They would break into Croat and Bosniak civilians' homes, taking more than 100 persons whom they tortured and forced to work. At least ten people were killed. The bodies of some of the victims have not been found.
