(Hina) - The Supreme Court of the Federation of
Bosnia and Herzegovina has upheld the acquittal of Dragan Covic, a
deputy speaker of the upper house of Bosnia and Herzegovina's
parliament and the leader of the Croatian Democratic Union of Bosnia
and Herzegovina (HDZ BiH), of charges of abuse of office at the time
when he was Finance Minister of the Federation after he was previously
accused of making it possible for the Lijanovics meat-processing
company to unlawfully gain profit by avoiding the payment of special
customs duties on meat imports.
