Prices jumped to six-week highs at the outset, bolstered by speculative shortcovering, traders said. But most-active March delivery bumped into resistance at $1,425 a tonne. In the afternoon, traders said players largely concentrated on adjusting positions ahead of the four-day weekend. CSCE will be closed Thursday and Friday in observance of U.S. Thanksgiving. March cocoa ended unchanged at $1,416 after trading from $1,425 to $1,409. Spot December settled unchanged too, at $1,371, while the back months finished flat to $9 firmer. Technically, traders continued to peg near-term resistance for March cocoa at $1,425, with the next level seen at $1,433. Support was put at $1,408, then $1,400.
