The conference brought together representatives of Croatia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Slovenia, Macedonia, Serbia, Turkey, and Montenegro.
KOTOR, June 7
(Hina) - A regional conference called "World Heritage
and Sustainable Development: the Role of Local Communities in the
management of World Heritage Sites" opened in Kotor, Montenegro on
Thursday as part of the "Culture: a Bridge to Development" initiative
and the 40th anniversary of UNESCO's World Heritage Convention.
