ZAGREB, Dec 2 (Hina) - Croatia is ready to negotiate with Bosnian
Muslims on economic issues, but it will not make territorial
concessions, said Croatian Foreign and Deputy Prime Minister Mate
Granic after his return from Rome on Thursday, where he attended
the Ministerial meeting of the CSCE.
"More pressure will be exerted on Croatia in connection with the
Muslim request for the access to the sea," estimated Granic. It is
clear that Bosnian Muslims want to establish their independent
state and that the main issue during the Geneva negotiations will
be territorial defining of the state, said Granic. But, several
ministers at the CSCE meeting in Rome supported Croatia's attitude
not to make territorial concessions, stressed Granic.
The Croatian Minister positively estimated the final report and
document of the CSCE, which says about necessity of the peaceful
reintegration of UNPAs into the Croatian legal system. These
documents also include the attitude on necessity of mutual
recognition of Croatia and Serbia as foundation of achieving the
peace.
