ZAGREB, Nov 14 (Hina) - The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of
Croatia, Mate Granic, left for New York on Sunday afternoon.
As a special envoy of President Franjo Tudjman, in the next two days he is
scheduled to meet with UN Secretary-General Boutros Boutros-Ghali and other
senior officials of the world organization and inform them in detail of the
Croatian President's peace initiative.
Particular attention is expected to be paid on the proposal for the
peaceful reintegration of the occupied territories into the legal and
political system of the Republic of Croatia and on the mandate of the UN
Protection Force.
In light of the Sarajevo talks last Friday, possibilities of bringing the
war in Bosnia-Herzegovina to a stop and of finding a peaceful solution to
the conflict are also expected to be on the agenda.
