LESS AND LESS CROATS IN BUGOJNO AREA

LIVNO, Nov 12 (Hina/HABENA) - Representatives of the Croatian Defence Council (HVO) of Bugojno (southern Bosnia) said yesterday that the Croats in that town were currently in difficult position after the decision made by the so-called military aldermen of the town that all the Croats be expelled from Bugojno, according to the Herzeg-Bosnia's News Agency (HABENA). According to the same source, there are no Croats any more in the villages of Udurlije, Lug, Causlije, Drvetine, Bogunovci, Kula, Bristovi, Glavice, Kandija, Gorusa, Golo Brdo, Odzak, Vucipolje, Zamesarici, Gracanica, Vlava, Vrbanja, Crnca, Vrpec and Vesela of the Bugojno municipality, where the majority of the residents used to be the Croats. The representatives of the HVO of Bugojno added that the Moslem authorities had not allowed European observers to have free access to those villages. The representatives also said that the there are 345 Croatian prisoners- of-war in the Moslem-operated prisons in the Bugojno area. According to these representatives, the Moslem authorities were violating the principles of the Geneva Conventions in those prisons. The remained Croats in Bugojno are asked to deny their national origin of Croats by being forced to call themselves "Bosniaks", the representatives of the HVO of Bugojno stated on Thursday. 120830 MET nov 93
