KISELJAK, Nov 9 (HABENA/Hina) - In connection with the grave humanitarian
situation in Kiseljak, near Sarajevo, where more than 12 thousand refugees
from Vares had found shelter, and in Kresevo, near Sarajevo, caring for
some 3 thousand refugees from Vares, the Croatian Defence Council (HVO) in
Kiseljak on Tuesday sent an appeal to "all humanitarian organizations to
join in the action of saving the Croatian population," said a statement
issued by the HVO in Kiseljak, quoted by Herzeg-Bosnia's news agency
HABENA.
The appeal said that "there is going to be a tragedy of far grater
proportion from that in Zepa, Srebrenica and Gorazde, and any delay in
sending aid will be fatal. The stay and accommodation of the Vares refugees
in Kiseljak and Kresevo is impossible due to lack of food, water, clothing
and medicines, and the number of those ill with infectious hepatitis and
cholera is increasing daily."
