CROATIAN REPORTERS TAKEN TO VISIT SEPARATION LINE

DONJI CAGLIC, Nov 15 (Hina) - UNPROFOR today took Croatian reporters on a tour of a separation line in the village of Donji Caglic, near Lipik (western Slavonia), UNPROFOR spokeswoman Susan Manuel said. A Croatian police checkpoint at Bukovcanska Street in Caglic was recently moved 70 yards toward Lipik in line with the October 28 agreement. The checkpoint is now manned by Croatian police and UN peace- keepers. Manuel said repairs to damaged and destroyed Croatian houses in Bukovcanska Street had been suspended until UNPROFOR set up its own checkpoint in the street. "This will only be possible when Croatian police leave all the houses in Bukovcanska, in line with the October 28 agreement," Manuel said. Asked why UNPROFOR was always moving its checkpoints farther and farther onto Croatian-controlled territory in Sector West, Manuel said because the "Serbs claimed that Bukovacka Street belonged to them." She said she was going by a list the Serbs had given her of former home owners in the street, 70 percent of whom were Serbs. (hina) as sd 151314 MET nov 94
