ZAGREB, Nov 4,(Hina) - The co-chairmen of the International
Conference on the former Yugoslavia (ICFY), Lord David Owen and
Thorvald Stoltenberg, described today's meeting between Croatian
foreign minister Mate Granic and his Yugoslav counterpart Vladislav
Jovanovic as 'one of the most important meetings' since the
beginning of the conflict in 1991.
The ICFY Geneva office said in a statement it was now up to
the two governments to make better use of this dialogue, which
could lead to long-awaited peace, reconciliation and economic
cooperation, all necessary for the former Yugoslavia.
