SARAJEVO, Nov 3 (Hina) - Fighting between the Bosnian army and
Karadzic's troops in the Bosanska Krupa area could last for another
ten days, UN Spokesman Tim Spicer told a press conference today.
UN military observers reported fierce infantry clashes on the
north-east and south-west approaches to Bosanska Krupa.
UN sources confirmed that the Bosnian 5th corps and Serb
troops also clashed near Bosanska Otoka and Miostrah.
Col. Spicer quoted unconfirmed reports that Serbs from
occupied Croatian areas were getting ready to support Karadzic's
army.
UN military observers reported that Croatian Serbs
concentrated nearly 2,000 men along the Bosnian-Croatian border.
UN officials confirmed that three shells were fired yesterday
at a UN observation post near Bosanska Otoka, without causing major
damage.
