SPLIT, Oct 3, (Hina) - Croatia's defence minister Gojko Susak today
said he was "more than satisfied" with talks with US defence
secretary William Perry.
Susak was speaking after meeting Perry today at Split airport.
Susak said the discussion focused on the UN protected areas in
Croatia (UNPAs) and cooperation between the USA and Croatia.
"Perry announced that the first group of experts from the USA
would arrive on November 10 for talks in Zagreb," Susak said.
Perry said a working group, as planned in July to promote
better cooperation between Croatia and USA, was being formed. The
first working group session was to be held in November in Zagreb.
Susak added that Perry had also informed him of today's talks
with Akashi, generals De Lapresle and Michael Rose and of the
recent NATO ministerial session in Spain.
Today's talks between Croatian and US officials also focused
on the (Croat-Bosniac) Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
