ZAGREB, Sep 8 (Hina) - Pope John Paul II said a prayer this morning
in his residence in Calstel Gandolf for peace in Balkans.
Holy Father wanted to say the prayer in Sarajevo today, but
his visit is postponed for safety reasons.
Praying for a just peace in the former Yugoslavia, the Pope
said that all victims of this cruel war prayed for those who had
survived to achieve peace and conciliation.
A true peace should be achieved as soon as possible. Peace is
possible. Peace is possible if moral values are respected, said the
Pope.
