REFUGEES BLOCK UNPROFOR BASE IN ZAGREB

ZAGREB, July 14 (Hina) - About a hundred refugees blocked the UNPROFOR base in Zagreb, Selska street, at 9 a.m. Thursday. This peace protest was organized by the local association of refugees and it will last until 8 p.m. According to Julije Skeletic, the head of the association, refugees are protesting against UNPROFOR's inefficacy and they want to bring attention to difficulties of the life in exile and the problem on missing and detained members of their families. Refugees in Zagreb has the same requests as refugees throughout Croatia. Croatian government minister Juraj Njavro, the refugee from Vukovar, visited refugees this morning in order to support their peace protest. 141020 MET jul 94
