PRESIDENT TUDJMAN'S STATEMENT AFTER MEETING WITH BOSNIAN CROATS

ZAGREB, May 13 (Hina) - "Representatives of Croats from all Bosnia- Herzegovina were invited to this meeting with the Croatian leadership to clarify the Washington Agreements and the Vienna documents, which constitute an outstanding achievement of the Croatian policy in the given international circumstances," said President Tudjman following a Friday meeting with Bosnian Croat representatives. "The Croats in the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina, which is to be confederally linked to Croatia, will have an equal part in governing the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina. They will have a say in all issues pertaining to the confederation with Croatia," said President Tudjman. Speaking of the canton solution, President Tudjman said that the "Croats may be satisfied" because their civil and national rights will be guaranteed even in "that mixed canton in central Bosnia, which includes the historical Croat towns, such as Jajce, Travnik, Novi Travnik, Vitez, Busovaca, Kiseljak, Kresevo and Fojnica." He said the situation would be the same in the Mostar- Neretva canton, which comprises Mostar, "now the seat of the Herzeg-Bosnian government and tomorrow the seat of the canton authorities," and the Catholic shrine of Medjugorje. 141239 MET may 94
