ZAGREB, May 6 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman received
Friday a delegation of the Croatian Bar Association.
During the talks, Tudjman stressed the importance of the legal
profession in the establishment of Croatia as a legal country.
He went on to remind that one forth of the country was still
occupied and 300,000 Croatian citizens had been expelled from their
homes. Tudjman said that in such circumstances we built legal
system and Croatia as a legal country. He added that we were not
able, not even with the best will, to prevent certain illegalities.
We guarantee the protection of human rights to all Croatian
citizens by our Constitution, said Tudjman.
