SANTIAGO, May 3 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic met
on Monday with Chilean Foreign Minister Carlos Figueroa Serran.
The Ministers signed an agreement on simplifying visa
formalities between Croatia and Chile, and they expressed readiness
to accelerate development of relations between the two countries.
The Chilean Foreign Minister accepted Minister Granic's invitation
to visit Croatia.
Minister Granic and his assistant for economic relations
Andrija Jakovcevic met with Deputy Minister of Planning and
Development Pedro Goic.
During the talks, Granic said that a duty free zone could be
established in the port of Rijeka, and a joint Chilean-Croatian
bank. Pedro Goic, one of four Croat members of the Chilean
Government, delivered to Minister Granic the study on the Chilean
economic reforms.
