PRIME MINISTER VALENTIC ON VISIT TO IRAN

ZAGREB, May 1 (Hina) - A Croatian delegation's visit to Iran is a turning-point in the relations between the two countries, Prime Minister Nikica Valentic told a news conference Sunday upon his return from Tehran. The delegation was received today by Iranian President Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani. Valentic said that the most important agreement signed in Tehran was that on economic relations between the two countries. A 120 million dollar agreement on building of four ships will be signed within ten days, and it will help restructuring of the shipbuilding. The ships will be paid mostly by oil from Iran, said Valentic adding that agreements on building of 15 more ships are expected to be signed very soon. Valentic told journalists that agreements on trade and transport co-operation were also signed. Talks held in Tehran also focused on political issues: the situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina and relations between Iran and Croatia, Valentic told the news conference. The Iranian hosts underlined that they backed full implementation of the Washington agreements between Croatia and B-H. It was agreed that Iranian- Croatian-BosnianHerzegovinian economic commission would be established soon, said Valentic. 012141 MET may 94
