ZAGREB, March 2 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman
described a preliminary agreement signed by Croatian Foreign
Minister Mate Granic and Bosnian Prime Minister Haris Silajdzic in
Washington yesterday as a successful result of Croatian, European
and international efforts.
"This is a success leading to peace, and what's most
important, it gives Croatia opportunities to solve all of its
problems, in the first place its territory under UN protection, and
economic and financial problems," said the Croatian president at
Zagreb airport Tuesday night upon arrival from an official two-day
visit to Albania. He said that the final agreement would be signed
in next two weeks.
