ZAGREB, Feb 7 (Hina) - Croatian and Slovene premiers Nikica
Valentic and Janez Drnovsek today signed several agreements and
contracts as well as the special joint statement. The statement
says that the Croatian and Slovene government are ready to begin
negotiations on reaching a trade agreement which would regulate
the joint trade relations between the two countries on principles
of free trade pursuant to Article 24 of GATT. In the transition
period the trade between the two countries would gradually undergo
liberalization, following which a duty free zone would be
established.
