VITEZ, Jan 15 (Hina) - A group of 50 women from Krizancevo Selo
today at noon protested in front of the UNPROFOR British Battalion
base in Nova Bila near Vitez (central Bosnia). They requested
delivering of bodies of killed people and releasing of captured
civilians from Krizancevo Selo.
During the attack of Muslim forces at the village on December 22
1993, 62 persons were captured and later murdered and buried in
mass grave.
Women also requested that UNPROFOR enable sanitation of the ground
in zone between front-lines in Krizancevo Selo where still lie
bodies of 15 killed soldiers and civilians.
Representatives of the British Battalion promised that they will
undertake all what is necessary to realize these demands as soon as
possible, but they underlined that such agreement must be reached
between HVO and Bosnian Army.
Unsatisfied with such answer, the women from Krizancevo Selo said
that they will continue to protest and if it is necessary they will
seal off the UNPROFOR base in Nova Bila, reported Hina's
correspondent from Vitez.
