VITEZ, Jan 8 (HABENA/Hina) - About 230 members of families of the
persons killed in Krizancevo announced a protest rally for
tomorrow. The protest rally is to be held in front of the UNPROFOR
base in Nova Bila and on the Novi Travnik-Zenica road, reported
HABENA.
The protest was scheduled for today, but it was postponed as the
UNPROFOR British Battalion promised to try again to find out what
happened in Krizancevo on 22 December 1993.
Members of the families forwarded a letter to the UNPROFOR sector
for civilian affairs in Bosnia-Herzegovina, based in Sarajevo. The
letter asked UNPROFOR to influence on commander of the Third Corps
of the Moslem-led Bosnian Army in order to agree on the exchange of
dead Croat civilians killed in the Moslem attack on Krizancevo.
"There are 15 more dead Croat civilians and soldiers on the
territory between Croat and Moslem forces. Moslems informed us that
they have about 30 dead civilians and HVO soldiers, but according
to our records the number is much larger," said the letter. If the
POW's exchange and handing over of dead bodies is not carried out
until 8 January, we will block passage of every vehicle of the
UNPROFOR, UNHCR and EMM and we will be protesting as long as our
requests are not fulfilled, said the letter.
