ZAGREB, May 31 (Hina) - A leader of the Serb National Party (SNS),
Veselin Pejnovic, believes that Croatia is becoming more and more
adapted for exclusively interests of Croatian people. Pejnovic said
at a press conference on Wednesday that "exodus of Serbs is
continuing."
Commenting on the situation in western Slavonia Pejnovic told
the Zagreb conference that cattle and property were being stolen
from local residents, and added that there were individuals whose
task is to threaten Serbs.
The head of the SNS party, Milan Djukic, asked for "the fate
of 1,200 Serbs from western Slavonia". He wanted to know where the
wounded were at the moment and where the killed people had been
buried and he also asked for whereabouts of some who had been taken
to the processing centres for identification.
"Only answers to such questions guarantee that remaining Serbs
stay and refugees return" Djukic said at the conference.
