ZAGREB, May 22 (Hina) - Around 1,500 children, elderly people and
other residents of Velika Kladusa, northwestern Bosnia, have been
receiving hot meals every day since the International Committee
of the Red Cross (ICRC) opened a soup kitchen in the town, a
statement from the ICRC headquarters in Zagreb said today.
A similar kitchen has already been set up in Bihac for 4,500
residents, including patients from the local hospital.
In the last two weeks, the ICRC has managed to dispatch to
the region two convoys with considerable amount of food and
medical supplies.
