ZAGREB, May 2 (Hina) - The Croatian Parliament House of Counties
today afternoon adopted a 40-item agenda of the 23rd session of the
House of Counties.
The House of Counties defined a draft proposal to elect Milan
Vukovic, the Supreme Court president, for the position of the
Constitutional Court president.
The draft proposal, suggested by the Elections and Nominations
Commission, was supported by 34 parliamentarians, while 20, mainly
opposition representatives voted against it.
The Constitutional Court consists of 11 judges who are
appointed by the House of Representatives and at the proposal of
the House of Counties. The Constitutional Court has 10 judges at
present.
