BRELA, May 13 (Hina) - Members of the diplomatic corps accredited
in Croatia are spending this week-end in Brela on the central
Adriatic coast. The visit was organised by the ministries of
tourism and foreign affairs.
This morning, the diplomats sailed to Hvar and visited the
island's cultural and historical monuments.
Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic and Tourism Minister
Niko Bulic also took part in the excursion.
"We organised this three-day holiday to give foreign diplomats
an opportunity to see for themselves the richness of Croatia's
tourist offer and visit the places where tourists will be able to
spend peaceful summer holidays," Minister Granic said before
stepping aboard.
"We wish the Croatian tourism to show its very best this
year," he added.
"The diplomats' visit to this part of the Croatian coast will
also reassure domestic and foreign guests that all those who come
to our seaside - and we are expecting them in even larger numbers
than last year - will leave it rested and satisfied," Granic said.
The diplomats are to visit Bol Island and its Dominican
Monastery this afternoon.
