ZAGREB, May 3 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic today
received members of the diplomatic corps accredited in Zagreb, led
by their doyen, the Pope's nuncio Giulio Einaudi, the foreign
ministry said today.
Minister Granic informed the diplomats of the successful
outcome of the police-military operation along the Zagreb-Lipovac
highway, and the highway's opening to traffic.
He also informed them of the restoration of civilian
authorities in the newly-liberated areas and the government's
guarantees that all human and civil rights of the citizens of Serb
nationality would be respected in line with the Constitution and
the law.
Minister Granic also described the terrorist attacks on
civilian targets in Zagreb and Croatia's decision to inform the
International War Crimes Tribunal and Milan Martic and Milan
Celeketic were the instigators of these brutal attacks.
He also spoke of the Agreement on Cessation of Hostilities,
reached today.
